In a world that often glorifies speed, we choose to be different. Our itineraries are carefully crafted to allow our clients enough time to ground the in the destination, so they can open up to new experiences and stories. So they can also appreciate the company of the persons they're travelling with, such as their spouse, their children, their grandchildren...
We avoid crowded tourist traps and highly commercialised areas, opting instead for authentic experiences that bring us closer to the essence of a city or a region. By slowing down and embracing the present, we discover hidden gems, interact with locals, and contribute positively to the communities we encounter along the way.

Our experienced hosts guide small groups of no more than 8 persons. In other words, we are here to create travel experiences packed with authentic experiences in the Netherlands, Belgium, and all the locations where we operate.
WE ARE HUNTER-GATHERERS OF EXPERIENCES
We believe that traveling is more than just visiting tourist attractions - it's about immersing yourself in new cultures to create meaningful memories. That's why we define ourselves as "hunter-gatherers of experiences".
20,000 years ago, humans were hunter-gatherers out of necessity. This was the first subsistence mode of Homo sapiens, preceding animal husbandry and agriculture. As a reflection of our contact with the world, we learned, gathered knowledge, and transformed our behavior, creating roots that turned into villages that turned into nations.
Even so, some of us continued to grow a nomad spirit. The hunter-gatherer instinct is part of our humanity and is the basis of everything we do at Sapiens Travel.

For example, our exclusive amenities are locally sourced and sustainable products, such as local cheeses, vegan cosmetic brands, for example. Our tours and itineraries stimulates low carbon means of transportation such as bicycle, train or walking. Our travel recommendations includes restaurants with vegan and vegetarian menus. Our travel documents are all digital to avoid producing waste.
