From the Leiden Collection | H’ART Museum | 9 April – 24 August 2025

As Amsterdam celebrates its 750th anniversary, the H’ART Museum hosts a remarkable gathering of Dutch Golden Age masterpieces that travel advisors will want firmly on their radar. On view through late August 2025, the temporary Expo From Rembrandt to Vermeer, Masterpieces from The Leiden Collection brings together 75 works from the prestigious Leiden Collection—many returning to the Netherlands for the first time, others never before shown in public.
About The Leiden Collection
Founded by American collector Dr. Thomas S. Kaplan and his wife Daphne Recanati Kaplan, the Leiden Collection is one of the largest and most significant private holdings of 17th-century Dutch art in the world. Named after Rembrandt’s birthplace, the collection includes over 250 paintings and drawings with a strong focus on the Leiden School—especially Rembrandt and his circle.
It functions as a kind of global lending library, having loaned works to over 90 museums, from the Louvre to the Prado. What makes this exhibition so special is that it brings these works—most of them held privately—together in the Netherlands for the first time, many of them in dialogue with the city that inspired them. For clients who appreciate access to rarely seen collections and museum-level curation without the crowding of blockbuster shows, this is a golden opportunity.

About H’ART Museum
Formerly known as the Hermitage Amsterdam, H’ART Museum is housed in a grand 17th-century building along the Amstel River. Since its rebranding in 2023, the museum has expanded its mission to host world-class exhibitions in collaboration with leading global institutions, such as the British Museum, Centre Pompidou, and the Smithsonian. Its flexible exhibition model allows it to bring major international collections. The museum’s renewed focus on storytelling, partnership, and cultural exchange has quickly positioned it as one of Amsterdam’s most dynamic cultural venues.
